Paulene's Story
Life
I live in Florida with my husband and 2 sons, ages 16 and 20. My parents decided to leave New York in 1980 and we moved to Miami. I left Miami in 1992 and moved to Tampa.
I think I've spent most of my adult life going to school. I finally received my CPA license in 2000. That was the most disciplined period in my life. I'm still trying to decide what I want to be when I grow up. I do know I want to retire in 16 years when I'm 55.
My children...well the oldest has just completed his 2nd year at the university... marketing major. The 16 year old...need I say anymore? God gave him to me to keep me on the straight and narrow.
He'll find his way though, I did.
I don't know how I made it through high school. I can't even remember the...Expand for more
details of being in school. Maybe I was too young...I hope they got rid of those "sp1" classes and skipping grades. I skipped two grades and by ninth grade felt out of place. I was the pest of the class.
Life is good though. I have been married 19 years and hopefully will stay married. My husband and I spend most of our free time doing household projects and playing racquetball. Our latest project is our patio. What once was a yard with just grass is now a mosquito free patio with pavers, a rose garden, a vegetable garden, 2 flower beds, and a soon to be completed fish pond with a waterfall. I can't wait to use it for Memorial Day.
