Pauline lives in Ottawa, Ontario. Her schools include St. Mary School in Quyon, Qc and St. Mary's Teachers College in Chapeau Qc. She later attended Carleton and Ottawa U. She worked for 33 years at the Ottawa Catholic School Board. There she taught mainly Math and Science but over the period of all these years she taught all levels from Kindergarten to Ottawa University and worked as a board consultant. She retired April 1, 2000. This very early retirement was due to her husband's, Edward, poor health. The choices were to stay working in the job she loved or retire and look after her husband. She chose the latter and both his spirits and health improved until in Oct 2, 2007 a major surgery resulted in complications that left him on a respirator in the ICU at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto for a year.
