Pedro P.'s Story

I always wanted to be a subway train conductor when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a excellent idea. As it turns out, they were not meant to be. I usually vent-out and then calm down afterwards. Nothing. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have job stability, employer loyalty, respect and appreciation, and a good supervisor who is kind, patient, tolerant and easy to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My hero or heroes are my entire family members who are always there for me whether the times are good or bad. I used to live in the Flatbush area of Brooklyn. I moved to Staten Island in 1985 because this paved the way to my future such as attending and graduating from college, living on my own and finding a job. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Lourdes Serrano, because we have totally lost contact after she left Holy Innocents School after the 6th grade. We have not seen each other again after all these years. It has been about 31 years now. . MLB Baseball is my only main obsession. I cannot live without it. It hasn't happened yet. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel nothing and add on a nothing. My dream home would be if I ever own one. This is not applicable to me yet. Miss Margaret Hayes since she was the first teacher I ever had when I came to Holy Innocents School back in 1973. If I won $100 million, I'd give portion of it to my family, then spend the rest on paying out bills, having a few houses built for me and my family without ever having to rely and depend upon borrowed money/mortgage payments. In other words, I will pay the entire balance in cash just in one shot and invest and spend the extra remaining balance wisely. I never lived on a dorm nor am I ever became affiliated with Fraternities. I am basically an Independent who just joined regular student clubs in College. I enjoyed the portion of my life as a college student at both Kingsborough Community College and St. John's University on an undergraduate level that if I have to do it all over again and if the money is available again, I would definitely do it. having a steady job which is a permanent full time position that provides a long term job stability in which I am set for life until I decide to retire hopefully when I turn 70. Hopefully I can share this with the special someone whom I hope to meet in the future. My current age is almost 44. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be older. I was so completely wrong. This will hopefully be answered once again at a future date. I still keep in touch with this person as a special friend after we graduated from Holy Innocents School back in 1980. As a matter of fact, I visited her twice during this decade after not seeing her for 17 years prior to 2001. My best friend would tell you I'm a shy person and introspective, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as outgoing. Yes sort off. I don't necessary follow the trends in fashions so style is timeless here in which the way I dress does not always become obsolete. After I graduated from college, the weirdest job I ever had was working at a retail department store in Brooklyn and part of my job was mopping the storefloor showroom, removing old chewing gums that were stuck on the floor and on occasions cleaning up the staff latrines. I share my home with no one, which I find okay. Just one when I won the intramural spelling bee when I was a High School sophomore at Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School. Be more prudent and spend thrift. In 10 years, I hope to be still working. I'm going to get there by hopefully getting a job once again. To make the long story short, it was just a long story. Maybe because I have not attended any of my past High School reunions. My first job was at K-Mart, where I got paid a per hour job to do Stock Clerk. What I remember most about it was a short term summer job during my junior year in College . Just too many to remember both good and bad. I hope old friends remember me as the same genuine person as they have always thought about me. The only difference, I am an older, wiser and better version of myself. In other words, "NEW AND IMPROVE" and constantly "RE-INVENTING" myself.
