Yippee! I recently wrote, illustrated, and published my first children's book, "I Am Me, I Am".. The second book was published in June 2021, "Feelings are Like Clouds", and the third is in the works with a publication date of September 2021, "Pearl and Friends in the Garden of Gratitude", by P. A. Serena Hemmer, MSW, LCSW! They are all on Amazon.com!

WOW! Has it really been 38 years?
Who am I now? I hear my friends describe me as spiritual, loving, caring, smart, sincere, sometimes funny, and very intuitive.
I live in St. Petersburg, Florida.
I like being in the outdoors - in warm weather - hiking, swimming, a little bicycling, and being in, on, or near the water. I enjoy flower and veggie gardening, traveling to new places, gathering with my friends, dancing, meditating and laying in my hammock! Watercolor and acrylic painting, sketching, and pottery making are also among my hobbies.
It took me awhile to figure out what makes my heart smile, other than, of course, my son, Tom Morbitzer.

I completed a Master of Social Work degree from The Ohio State University at age 50, with a focus on clinical counseling and child welfare.
I am a Licensed Clinical Worker. I spent 4 years at a children's residential treatment facility where I was blessed to re-establish the expressive arts clinical program. While cognitive behavioral and solution focused therapies are my foundational theoretical approaches, I include visual art, pottery, drama, creative writing, dance and music, play and sand tray therapy. I established my own private counseling practice, Heart and Soul Counseling in 2007. I specialize in counseling services for children ages 4 and up, and for women. Other services include group counseling, and counseling for families and couples, trainings and workshops.
In 2006, I was ordained as a New Thought, Metaphysical Minister and have been on the Spiritual Leadership Team at First Unity Spiritual Campus since 2018.
Life is full, fulfilling, and busy.
I am blessed and grateful.
