Peggy's Story
After high school and college, I taught elementary school for 12 years; kindergarten for 11 of those! During that time I met my husband and got married. We had 2 boys, and Bob traveled 2-3 weeks a month on business, so I took a "mommy break"
thinking I'd be back in the classroom in 5 years. It's been 25 years, and no end in sight! We added a daughter to the clan, and life went on.

ddle child had a diving accident at 14 which resulted in a spinal cord injury at the c 5/6 level. Plans changed, and I became a family caregiver instead of a classroom teacher. We've all adjusted pretty well, and life is good! Oldest son is a pilot for a charter airline--his dream, daughter is in grad school pursuing her dream, and our middle son is still working on his dream. In the meantime, he has
earned 2 degrees, and teaches
part time at the local community college. Life is good!
