Penny's Story
After graduation, I went to Northwestern Business College. I met Gary during that time and we married in 1979.
After having our daughter, Amanda, in 1981, we moved to Texas when she was 4 months old. We had our son, Joshua, 2 years later. Since Gary missed snow and the winter months, we ended up moving to Montana, where there is not only snow, but the mountains he loves. We have been here for 20+ years and it definitely feels like home.
This summer, we decided to take the opportunity to run a horse operation in New Mexico giving guided trail rides. It was a great summer, we were in the mountains in New Mexico near a Resort and worked 7 days a week - when it wasn't raining. At the end of the summer however, Gary was homesick for Montana, so we ended up returning here, along with 10 of our horses.

All my sisters but one live in Florida, the other one in Michigan. The girls started trickling down to Florida when my dad retired and my parents moved down where my grandparents were. We still have some family and friends in Ohio, so we do make that trip back occasionally. My sisters and I do "girl" trips together and there is nothing better than getting the Searfoss girls in one room and hear the laughter (or cackling as my family calls it)!
As far as the class reunions are concerned, I have only been to 3, and I had to locate them to be able to attend as I never receive an invitation. I plan to go to the next one, and hopefully there will be a good turnout. I was sent pictures of the last one and it was hard recognizing faces I haven't seen in awhile.
