Russell's Story
Life
Since my graduation IÂve lived a full life and in good health. I retired from technical publications (writer, editor, publisher, manager) at North American/Rockwell Int. In 1989 after 34 years, where I started as an electronic tech after leaving the Navy.
IÂve lived in the same house in Orange CA since 1963. I graduated from Santa Ana college, then from California State University Fullerton with honors and a B.A. in Communications. Lois (Mitzel--class of Â55), my wife died four days before our 47th anniversary in 2002. IÂve three daughters, 9 grandkids and by Aug. Â04, four great grandchildren (one boy).
Following my technical publications career I wrote four novels and numerous short stories--most remain unpublished.

t with oil, acrylic and water color, film photography, digital scanning of over 4000 slides dating from 1950, and wide format photo printing.
I paint in my home studio, write and print photographs in my home office and do repairs, etc., around the house--it really needs it as it's aged like me.
I've taken many creative writing courses including a one-week invitational writing workshop in Hollywood. For my own enrichment IÂm taking college oil painting and air brush this fall.
I've continued socializing with several friends from the '50's since leaving Whittier High, and in the last few years I've contacted several high school friends through Internet searches, including my best friend at high school and my first real girl friend, who is still happily married to her first and only husband.
