Rebecca's Story
Well, not much of interest has happened, really. After high school I went to college and got a B.S. in Psychology and my M.S. in Counseling. I've worked as a juvenile probation officer and psychometrist (psychological testing and report writing for the county government-Juvenile Justice, DFCS, etc.). After realizing that a psychology/counseling degree doesn't make much money, I returned to school to get my initial teaching certification in special education. I've been teaching special education at Hampton Elementary for three years now. I love working with the kids...Expand for more
but get annoyed at times with the politics involved in teaching. Oh well!
I recently got married to another teacher-we met at Hampton my first year when our rooms ended up being beside each other. We are now hoping to move to Pennsylvania this summer as we both spent much of our childhoods with family there and have grown to love it. Talk about getting away from the city, though!
We have a 9 month old German Shepherd puppy who keeps us active-more so than we'd like most of the time.
I guess that is about all. As I said, not much has happened! The usual stuff.
