Jolene's Story
Hi there. Like everyone else since High School, I have been pretty busy. Went onto college right out of school and graduated from WVNCC. Married and had 2 beautiful daughters. Worked in Health Care all these years. Wheeling Hospital for 23 years, 18 years in the Emgergency Room, then moved on to Medical Records for 5 years. Lost both parents at the age of 30. Became ill at the age of 45 with New onset asthma, secondary Pulmonary Hypertension and an ascending aortic aneurysm. Have the best physicians ever, they got me back up on my feet. on the Dean's List the whole time, graduated with honors with a 4.0 and received my degree in Cancer Registry Management and became a Certified Cancer Registrar at the age of 50. I am continuing my education in the field of Health Information Management doing online education through Minnesota State College and working full-time as the Director of Medical Records at Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital here in Wheeling. When there isn't snow on the ground, I spend my off time at Oglebay Park, with my daughters and friends,involved w/GOP, watching football or baseball,or reading. Just enjoying life and trying to live it to the fullest!
