Percy's Story
I enlisted in the US Air Force in 1988 and went to Lackland Air Force Base Texas for basic training. I was stationed at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi as a Law Enforcement Specialist. I moved to England in 1992 and then to Maxwell Air Force Base in 1994. After 3 years, I was reassigned to Keesler Air Force Base for two more years. Next, I went to South Korea for a year and then Lackland Air Force Base for 4 1/2 years. I was reassigned to McGuire Air Force Base New Jersey for another 4 years and then finally Misawa Air Base Japan, my current home. I have also been to Saudi Arabia (3 times), Iraq and Afghanistan.

Devin who is 20 and a Sophmore at Howard University in Washington D.C. and Bryce who is 16 and a Junior in high school in New Port News Virginia (I love my family).
I was smart enough to take full advantage of the military's education programs. From 2000 to 2010, I was able to earn 3 Associates Degrees, my Bachelor and Masters Degree. Additionally, I recieved certifications in Education and Human Resource Management; not bad for a C student in high school.
The Air Force has been great and has given me so many opportunities and the ability to travel the world and meet people I never thought I would get to know.
I look forward to retiring from the military in April 2012 and finally being called Mr. Charles or just "PJ".
