Perry's Story
I love the way that Classmates removes links that contain personal information about people. Just Google me or look for me on LinkedIn or Facebook.
I'm still the geek who is into cars and computers, although these days they are reversed in priority. My wife and I have an old Mid-Century Modern house in Columbia, MD, which we are slowly restoring & updating. We've been married almost two years, and are looking forward to a long & happy life together.
I still rely on things I learned in Mrs. Winfree's English class, and of course, the basic logic skills from Mrs Corbett's Computer Science classes. And I still have my Commodore 128! My biggest realization in life so far has been that the good things happen when you don't expect it. And you need to look back now and then to see what's happened. I've ended up working for major companies in many different fields, and have had the privilege of being involved in a major portion of the Internet's growth. I've worked with people at all levels in nearly every field of human endeavor to improve communications and security.
But my proudest accomplishment is being involved with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and mentoring Brandon, my Little Brother, who is like my own son to me, and is a far more self-aware and self-confident young man at 19 than I was!
