Perry's Story
Hmmmmm....
Once upon a time I was a young man and didn't really know what I wanted to do. Now, I'm a much older man and I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do. But, in between those two points in time a lot has happened. After high school(s) I took on life with reckless abandon and thought I wanted to be a Forest Ranger or Farmer. So I went to more school until my brain could take no more and then took a little while off to figure out how to best waste time with the least amount of money. While doing that I decided to take a 6 month course on computer programming... and 25 years later, as of August 2009, I find myself still working in IT for the same company. YIKES!!!! nkles, explored undersea worlds and seen every possible part of a wave from every possible angle(some not as enjoyable as others) and believe that there is still a lot more to do.
I was married for 13 years and from that union created two beautiful children. They are the two greatest things that I will ever be responsible for in this world. Helping and watching them grow up has been the biggest adventure of all. It is on-the-job training in its highest form!
I've found my "thing" in life in surfing, and I lived by the beach for almost 20 years. I hope to get back there at some point.
It has been fun to see so many names and faces from so long ago. I hope that I can actually catch up with some others and their stories over the last 30 or so years.
Until then...for those of you that have seen Finding Nemo 256 times, like I have..."Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, what do we do? we swim, swim, swim"
