Peter's Story

Life After I graduated from T.H.S.,I attended college in South Carolina, only to be cut short by the discovery of a brain tumor, which I had removed in 1984. Then I moved to San Antonio, Tx. where I manged a flower shop for twelve years and now I presently reside in Florida. I am glad that I moved here because it gave me the once in a lifetime chance of going on a pilgimage to France back in 2002- Having no one to speak French to in so many years, I was wondering if I'd be able to manage in Paris. I guess the thirteen years of French that I studied paid off. It all came flooding back to me. Since then, I basically stay at home and volunteer my time at my church. At present, I still have not found Miss right so my days as a single person allow me time to do just about anything I want to. While in High school , In one of my English classes , I became quite fond of Maya Angelou. She has inspired me with her poems, books and poetry. I always wanted to be a translator for the United Nations when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were absolutely sure of my life as a professional student. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Mr. Toman, because he Instilled in me the lust for learning foreign languages. If I won $100 million, I'd give Half of it to The rest of my family, then spend the rest on a candy apple red porsche , and go on the longest train trip and be happy. Yes, and dorm life was full of People whom I will never forget. The thing that I absolute...Expand for more
ly dreaded was doing my wash on Saturdays, plus being in the shower hearing a bang and knowing that a burst of scalding hot water was about to come through the showers. My current age is 44.When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old and decrepit. I was so completely Wrong. My best friend would tell you I'm Fun to be around, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as reseved. I only wish I could have some of my clothes that I had even fifteen years ago- I was into the preppy look, and when I go out I still wear my favorite short Black jacket. I share my home with Parents, which I find Difficult at times. In 10 years, I hope to be Healthy and alive. I'm going to get there by not worrying about it. Hmmm... My oldest friend just got in contact with me not too long ago, she's actually my first crush from third grade My first job was at Kimberly Inn, where I got paid 6.00 to wash dishes. What I remember most about it is that I couln't wait until closing time. Okay, this is so embarrassing; in 1974 My grandparents wer going to going back to their country of origin . Being the inquisitive kid I was- I locked myself inside one of their suitcases. as I zipped the closing around the case I noticed that I could still see some light coming through where the zipper met the end of its track, my perfectionistic ways would not have that, so I undid the zipper and ran it back to the point of it locking itself. Boy- I will never live that down my Older brother and sister refuse to let me do so.
