Peter's Story
Life
2025 Update. I left college after my father died in 1966. I've been a Trucker since 1968. I had been married to Marlene Lutz since 1970. We have 5 great children, 3 girls and twin boys. We also have 10 wonderful grandchildren, 6 girls and 4 boys. We now have 10 Great-Grandchildren 7 boys & 3 girls. Through the years we have lived in Scranton, Gouldsboro, and South Caanan, Pa. We have been back in Scranton since 1999. We own a home in the Southside section of town
.
I had a mild heart attack in Jan. 2008 while in Salt Lake City, Utah. Since then, I have taken a job that gets me home every day. According to my Cardiologist, my heart and arteries seem to be in good shape now.
I have been retired since Mar. 1, 2011. I guess my body has not agreed with retirement. I have had a cancerous tumor removed from my colon in November 2011. The Doctors seem to think they got it all, but I started chemotherapy early in Jan, 2012. as a precaution. I feel fine now and hope and pray I'll be around for a long time.

ear. So far in 2025 I'm still Cancer Free. Thank God. Just before Christmas, 2012, I hurt my back and had surgery February, 2013 for a herniated disc. I am getting stronger every day and expect a complete recovery. I hope this was the last of my problems for a while. I'd really like to start enjoying my retirement. August 2020 I had cataract surgery in both eyes. Once again, in November, 2020, I needed back surgery again. That went well and things seem to be fine now. Time will tell.
Marlene, my wife of 50 years decided she didn't want to be married to me any longer. She said she just wanted to be happy. She was "Cat-Fished online and thought she was in love with a celebrity that promised her many things. She moved out in August 2019. On June 9, 2021 the Divorce was Final. A new chapter in my life had begun. June 13, 2024, I had quadruple heart bypass surgery. It was a little scary. Everything went well. So far in 2025, I seem to be doing fine. I guess 5,000,000 miles bouncing around the country in a Semi took a toll on my body. Hopefully, with the help of God, I'll be around a little longer.
