Peter's Story
i joined the Marine Corps in 1957. In 1963 I graduated from the University of Arizona. I then went to Officer Candidate School in Quantico Virginia, after receiving my commission I entered the flight program in Pensacola Fl. Upon receiving my wings, I was assigned to an A4 Skyhawk squadron. I served in Vietnam from December 67 through December 68. I spent 7 months flying the O1 Birddog as an airborne forward air control at Khe Sahn. I spent 6 months flying the A4 Skyhawk. I resigned my commission in 1969 and work varous jobs finally...Expand for more
buying a bankrupt company. This, through the Grace of God, led to my retirement in 1996. My wife and I live in Whitefish Montana, fishing, golfing, skiing and anything else my the beat-up old body can handle. The highlight of my life was flying the O1-Birddog. I know I save the lives of many Marines in the Khe Sahn area. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. The other highlight was having the privilege of attending St Leo's school for 12 years.
