Peter's Story
Life
After leaving CHS I went to UT Austin (lived with Tom Anderson and Ed Idar then Mark Royall). I then went to Texas Tech School of Medicine followed by Internship and Residency at Ohio State Univ. Dept of Physical Medicine & Rehab. I now have my own practice in Medford, Oregon - where I've been for 18 years. My area of expertise is Electrodiagnostic Medicine and I give lectures and workshops nationally and internationally in this field. I have been married for 20 years to Joan(1st and only wife!) and have 6 kids. Joan grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico and we visit there 1-2 times per year. Joan is an R.N. but has chosen to stay home to be a full time mother and our amazing family is a testament to what a loving mother she is. I have 1 daughter and 5 sons. 16, Austin is 14, Keenan is 10, Stewart would have been 6, and Weston is 3. Jessica just started college at Stanford. I still love basketball (visit Coach Hunt on trips back to San Antonio where my parents still reside) and my 2 eldest sons (Collin,sophomore; and Austin,freshman) are both starting on the varsity basketball team this year. I serve as assistant coach and team Doc for their high school team. I am now Mormon (converted almost 20 years ago). I work 3 to 3.5 days a week and take lots of time off to travel with my family. I feel very blessed to have such a loving family, a prosperous business, so much time off, and to have made such good friends throughout my years at Churchill, University of Texas, Texas Tach Univ School of Medicine, and Ohio State University Dept. of PM&R.
