Peter's Story

Life My wife Deborah SETZER Johnson wrote a bio on life, school, college, workplace and military; which covers a lot about me as well. So check that out, too. We've been married for 28 years and we met in 9th grade (1973) so we kind of know each other, just a little bit by now. To give a short recap and maybe mention a few things that weren't in her bio: I worked for King County for 30 years and just "retired". When people find that out, I always tell them "This isn't my grandfather's retirement or my dad's... Retirement just means a change of jobs... " We just came up with a name for our video production company; It's "Forerunner Films". The term "forerunner" is taken from the account of John the Baptist, who was called "the forerunner of Christ". When people thought he was Him, John told them "No... in fact I'm not worthy to remove the laces from His shoes." John's calling was to point people to the One who could save them... Christ. Likewise, we know we are nothing in ourselves; and so the name "forerunner" seemed like a good statement to make. Videography has been a passion of mine since I took a class at West Seattle High School in 10th grade. It's always fascinated me; and in the recent years I've got to expand my borders in this area. We have had the priviledge of providing video footage to people serving around the world: A teacher of missionary children stationed in the Philippines A family stationed with the Army in Germany A pastor's farewell after 15 years at one church before locating to Arizona A linguist of tribal language in Papua NuGuinea A special forces AirForce Capt in Afghanistan A cancer patient's party & send-off for treatment in California A founder of a children's center for orphans of Uganda & Congo A farewell celebration for a family relocating to Tennessee A 25th Celebrational Documentary of a Church History and future plans A farewell for a Boeing family who moved back to Austra...Expand for more

A soldier's homecoming to his family; his two small sons; and holding his baby daughter for the very first time; after returning from his tour of duty. So, what began as a humble thing, ended up way beyond our little office; and it's been so rewarding looking back and seeing all the opportunities we have had to minister to other people... in other nations... that God connected us with locally. What a worthwhile honor to partner with people that are on the front lines, doing so many different types of amazing work, in so many places around our globe. (Understand, we have not travelled to all these places, but we have been priviledged to provide images to them, relating to their life's work and mission. (Some from when they were home on furlough. Some from teams that went there, and we did the post editting on their footage.) We are personally connected to each and every one of these people aforementioned; and it is an honor to have intersected with them on life's pathway; not only for what they do, but for the person each one of them is. Our main goal, whether it's pro-bono work or if we realize a profit, will be to serve Christ, and serve people in that process. We are currently shifting from having a ministry (voluntering our services for others); to having the time to devote to include profit-based work. I've been approached by different company owners, wanting promo or demo work. One is a company who actually uses satelite and meteor technology; very sci-fi but now a reality. Please drop a line, love to hear from you, too. Peter
