Peter's Story
Well here we are 43 years later! Can't believe how the time has gone by so fast.
After Lincoln, I went to Carl Schurz, but had a really hard time, so I quit and joined the Army in 1969. Went to basic in Fort Ord, California and my AIT in Ft Leanard Wood, Mo.
Spent 10 months in Germany and then 12 months in Vietnam as a combat Engineer. Finished in Ft Riley, KS.
After Nam got married to Cathy Branham, Linda Branham's sister. ( got the better of the 2 )
Went to school to be an civil engineer and wound up being a machinist and then a machine tool service engineer. Traveled a lot to Germany and around the country then.
After Nam we had 3 children, Kathie, Panny and Pete Jr.. We moved to Wisconsin after I was offered a job as a product manager for a machine tool company. Again traveled a lot to Germany and around the country.
A lot of stuff went on in between, way too much to post here.

job in management, then move back to Illinois.
I finally got fed up with the corporate morons and realized that I should be doing things my way so I started my own business in 1993 and are still in business doing well. As a matter of fact I now have 2 businesses. Both are here in Wisconsin. ( Watertown )
Pete Jr. Has 3 boys, Troy, Tyler and Justin. Penny has 2 girls and a boy; Ciara, Connor and Carli. Kathie has no children and probably won't have any. She is nearing 40 now, but happily married. All of them live here in Wisconsin and have gone to school and graduated high school and college.
Anyway this is a brief explanation of where I have been and where I am now. Wouldn't change a thing except maybe I would have tried to stick it ot in high school. Joining the army however was one of the best experiences that I have ever had. I grew up quick and learned a lot.
I wonder sometimes where everybody that I went to school are? Hopefully we hear from some of them.
