Peter's Story
Life
After high school I spent a year working the Warrendale Treatment Centre for emotionally disturbed children. That didn't work out and in April 1972 I joined the Canadian Forces. I spent the first 15 years as an Administrative Clerk, performing basic administrative functions for for a communications squadron in Ottawa, a Battery Clerk with an Artillery Regiment in Germany and then I moved to an administrative office with a Service Battalion also in Germany. o Intelligence Operator serving again in Ottawa then Cold Lake Alberta and finally in Comox, BC. During my career I served with the United Nations Forces in Cyprus (twice) and once each in Egypt and Haiti. My last overseas tour was with the NATO forces in Bosnia in Dec 2000. I retired from active service in April 2002.
I married a wonderful lady from Kentucky in June 2002. We live in Courtenay, BC with her 3 kids (19, 17 and 16). I'm currently working at Home Hardware/Central Builders.
