LIFE I met my 50th year of life on March 18, 2005. The epiphany is, it's a half century of life and living. l'm glad and blessed to be in the land of the living. Life is what life is. I choose to make it that way each and every day I awake. I choose what attitude I will have. I decide how I will act in and react to every situation that besets me. GOD is yet good and HE gives me a new set of mercies and a new cluster of grace EVERYDAY. I am enjoying life because I recognize that it is a GIFT from GOD and I choose to edify GOD by choice. I try not to make excuses or complain (sometimes I fail) but pray about my shortcomings and dissap-pointments. GOD relieves my frustrations and fears. I want to drain every drop of opportunity from every day of life. I wish the same for you. I count my blessings: My only wife, Charmaingne has endured me for the last 24 years and I think she's beginning to like me. Our six children are all in a state of flux. Christiana is a theatre major at the local community college yet she nannies for a business owner. Caleb decided he wants to be a daddy and he is. Got my first grandchild last year. Christienne is a Sr. at Hood College working on an Early Childhood Education degree. Joshua decided he he knew how to be more of a man than I am so I 'allowed' him to try it on his own(stay tuned for the rest of the story........) Capri is a Sr. at a local Christian school, she's showing the most promise to be in the ministry, she writes really well but doesn't want to leave home to go to a good journalism school (pray hard for me) a Mariah is a student at the christian school I teach at and has turned thirteen (13).I have only teenagers now.(keep praying for me!) God has given us a beautiful property in Fort Washington, MD and we are blessed to be here and we don't take it lightly. We are establishing a respite ministry for couples and single parents who need a breather to re-organize, re-evaluate, re-connect and re-dedicate themselves back to their first love. We had someone there for us and now we want to bless someone else who's coming that same way. GOD WILL BLESS. THERE IS BAD NEWS IN THE LAND. THINGS APPEAR TO BE OUT OF CONTROL BUT THEY AREN'T! IT IS EXPEDIENT THAT YOUR FAITH FAIL NOT. I WOULD ADMONISH YOU TO FEAR NOT. GOD IS YET IN CONTROL!!!!! READ PSALM 24 IN YOUR BIBLE AND BELIEVE IT. THE LOVE OF JESUS IS THE ANSWER TO ALL OF YOUR PROBLEMS. TRUST HIM WHEN YOU CAN'T TRACE HIM, BELIEVE HIS WORD WHEN YOU DON'T SEE ANY OTHER WAY OUT AND IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE FAITH IN YOU, LATCH ON TO SOMEONE WHO DOES................. COLLEGE Whew...Eventho I was raised in DC, Durham,NC was where I grew up. NCCU gave me the freedom and opportunity to discover who I was. Some parts of me I didn't like too well.
