Phil's Story
Life
My Pets
Yogi. The 1st pure bred AKC German Shepard I've ever owned. He looks like he should have his picture on a can or bag of dog food. He is just one really good looking dog. Very good temperment too.
My Kids
I only have one child. His name is Andrew, he is 26 and doing well.. . He has lived with me since he was 8. He is a great kid. He was active in the Boy Scout's and his goal was to become an Eagle Scout! Which he did in 2013.I I'm glad I'm retired. I have to say I always thought the old guys were kidding when they said" I'm so busy now I don't know how I ever had time to work !" This is fore sure. My life seems like a blurr.
My Job
Sometimes it was boring sometimes a circus, every day is different. I was with GM for 37.6 years and it was a real trip...Expand for more
. Started as Chevrolet-Toledo, then became Hydramatc Toledo and finally GM Powertrain. Still going strong and producing World Class Transmissions Now that I'm retired I look back and say...".....man! That went fast!" Retirement so far has been great. It feels so good not to have the pressure of getting up and hitting the road to work. I do miss the circus and the controlled chaos that is a manufacturing organization. It was fun, but this is better. It was a real privilege to have worked with all the wild, crazy and talented people at GM throughout the years I was there. Thanks to all for all the cool times and best of luck for the future. And for the weasels and rats I had to deal with over the years here's my toast ! " May the urine never freeze on your tombstones ! "
