Phil's Story

Phil is a temporarily retired freelance writer and editor now living in West Chester, PA, with his wife Mary Ann and their two dogs and two cats. Since he began writing in 1982, following an undistinguished career as a middle wchool teacher, he has written more than 750 articles and eight books. Phil graduated from St. Joseph's University (Philadelphia) in 1964 with a B.S. In English. Graduate studies in English at Northern Arizona University (1970-71) yielded a raft of great stories, but no degree. Subsequent graduate studies in educational research at West Chester University (1978-80) also failed to yield a degree (but he did meet his wife there). Phil's current interests include reading about neuroscience, evolution, postmodernism...Expand for more
, music, sports, and more; watching British mysteries on television; trolling the Web in search of the amusing; and curating his collection of pirated music, television shows, and movies. Former interests include breeding and showing pug dogs, dropping large amounts of cash on food at Philly's best restaurants, messing about with website design, and attending musical performances by groups such as The Who, the Rolling Stones, Phish, Rusted Root, Green Day, the Wild Colonials, and others. In his spare time, of which he probably has too much, Phil maintains a satirical website called Postcards from the Pug Bus, which isn't safe for work, families, or anyone who does not subscribe to its core belief: Nothing matters, and what if it did?
