Philip's Story
Life
Worked 45 years and am enjoying retirement. After a couple of restarts at other post-retirement jobs, I landed at my own CBD business which I still do to this day (2021), and love it!
Living in Mechanicsburg (where the nine grandkids are) and enjoying their activituies, have them over or go out to dinner with them. It is especially nice during holidays.
Week after Thanksgiving, '07, we went to Disney World with the all five grandkids (and mommy and daddy of course). We had a ball watching the "kids" enjoy meeting all of their favorite Disney characters! It was quite the adventure.
Military
After 32 years of service (some active duty, but mostly Guard and Reserve), I retired as a squdron commander at the rank of Lt. Col. I did have about a ten year break in service, ...Expand for more
and never thought I would have the time nor the patience to make that rank. It sure does help the retirement check though! My military service was something I wanted to do ever since grade school. A childhood dream was to be an Air Force pilot...a dream realized when I earned my Air Force Pilot Wings and flew several different aircraft all over the world. I served in the first Gulf War and spent the better part of a year in the United Arab Emirates...a new cultural experience to say the least. I have the deepest respect for the service of our young men and women serving today, and they have 100% of my support. Their service will help us preserve our American way of life...a blessed one indeed (you need only travel to a few foreign counties to realize that). May God Bless the USA!!
