Philip's Story

Life After the Army, spent 25 interesting years as a Police Officer in Kansas and Oregon! (Everything from patrol to SWAT to Investigations.) Ended my Law Enforcement career as the Patrol Division Commander at CGPD.10 years in College Public Safety. (Still living in Oregon).Avid philatelist and Museum quality wooden ship model builder. It's true! You're busier retired than when working! Am active in the Greater Eugene Stamp Society, currently serving as President, and also the editor of the newsletter. program and staff for a charter Military-type Academy in a nearby school district. Military Enlisted US Army, March '68. Basic Tng: Ft. Dix, NJ. Finance School, Ft. Ben Harrison, In. Assigned Ft. Riley, KS. Duty with 24th Infantry Division and 1st Infantry Division (Big Red One). ETS'ed: March 71. Re-entered Service with Oregon Nat'l Guard 78-79 as Infantry Fire Team Leader. Entered US Army Reserve 1980-1991 first as Training NCO, 104th Division HQ G-3. Accepted Direct Commission, 1982. Dual Branched as Infantry and Military Intelligence. Medically retired as a Captain in 1991.
