Phillip's Story
Life
JMA: l957-1965. Visited Bill and Edith Jones about two years ago, they were fine then, not sure now. Attended Camden Military Academy after JMA, then civilian HS, career in AF, six years enlisted, 22 as officer, ret. 2000 as a Lt Col. Six years since working in defense industry and now corporate security. JMA was a good foundation, didn't think so then, do so now. Update: Miss Edith still alive, is 83, Bill died three years ago. "MIss Maxine" still doing well, spry and a wonderful lady. Married a gentleman named Bill who was a key researcher for Oak Ridge National Laboratories and was on the Strategic Arms Treaty talks. They share a lovely home in Oak Ridge and have traveled the world. e
Bennettsville HS: I'm back, just like the Seinfeld reruns. Changed jobs last August and forgot to update Class...Expand for more
mates. I'm now Director of Physical Security for Brinks, Incorporated and have global responsibility for over 200 locations, so I travel a lot. Madeline and I live in the St Louis area where she grew up as she has 5 grandchildren here. I retired from the AF in 2000, lieutenant colonel, after a long career and many moves, I then worked for three defense contractors in the Washington, DC area. We get back there quite a bit, have a one bedroom condo in Tysons Corner about 6 miles N of Washington. I visited my old boss from my HS job at Farmer's Hardware (with Jimmy Driggers as my cohort in bolts) Harold Moore last August while on business in Charlotte and will try and get back to "Bee'ville" again, what a slow pace of life there! 1969 seems like a far away period in time!
