Phyllis's Story
I remember the Class Prophecy in the El Alacran said that Olwen and I went to South Africa and I imposed self government on some tribe. Well, that was way off but it did get foreign travel right. there until retiring to Virginia Beach just two houses from the ocean.
I became a widow in 2001, and then in 2008 lost my only son to colon cancer. Fortunately my two daughters live an hour and 3 hours away respectively, so I have family and 6 grandchildren to keep me busy. I have a nice circle of friends and feel that life is full. I have been blessed with good health - though the struggle to keep pounds off from Brownmoor days has been a life-long process, so I devote a considerable chunk of time to exercise. 1952 seems like a long, long time ago, and that whole era seems now like an innocent, secure and optimistic time. I am glad to have had that experience, though I do find computers worth the hassles of 21st century life.
