Phyllis's Story
After high school I moved to Jonesboro to attend ASU where I received my BSE in Social Science and my MSE in Counseling and Psychology. I began my teaching career as a high school social studies teacher at Bay High School. I was in the classroom for 5 years before moving to the elementary school counselor position at Bay Elementary School. This May I will receive my 30 year pin of service. and is an electronics wiz. We continued to live in Jonesboro and built our home in the Valley View area. We have 3 children, Ryan, Drew, and Erin. Ryan is working on a degree in social science (like his Mom), Drew is at UAMS Pharmacy School, and Erin is a sophomore in high school. She keeps us busy with cheerleading, Student Council, and etc. We have a dog (Duke), cat (Oliver), and a guinea pig (Charlie). We attend Faith Baptist Church where I teach the Ladies Class and sing in the choir. If that's not enough to keep me busy, I volunteer in various community projects.
