Phyllis's Story
Life
I am a mother of 6 and grandmother of 9! I work as a consultant in the field of organizational development, specializing in conflict resolution, Social Emotional Learnig, teambuilding, communication, and diversity issues. I am also a certified mediator.
I always wanted to be a Mom when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea idea. As it turns out, they were right.
To fight stress and blow off steam, I go to the Health Club and workout for a few hours.

In 1997 I spent a month in South Africa, living in the Third World while studying peace and reconciliation there. It was a transformative experience. How lucky we are to be Americans.
In 2004 I did the San Diego Marathon and raised $6,000 for American Stroke Assoc.
My first job was at a dress store on Kings Highway, where I got paid 50 cents/hr to zip ladies into dresses and fold boxes. What I remember most about it is at age 11, it felt great to be financially independent.
My greatest joys now are spending time with my grandkids and traveling with my husband.
