Phyllis's Story
Life
I graduated in 1978. All my friends thought I would marry Mike. As most my friends know I went to work on a construction job site as a secretary and ended up marring my boss. We had two great kids. Brandi and Bradley. I did home day care to take care of them. After 8 1/2 yrs my hsband got lung cancer. That was a really hard 14 months that with out God I would not have made it. He past on. It was terrible for a few months. The kids were 8 and 5 they had a very sad bad time. I started driving a school bus for Conroe school district. I had summers off with the kids. I tried to replace their saddness with a pontoon boat. That was cool for a few years. I remarried. I still drive a bus. I forgot to mention that in 1993 I started driving mustang convertables. That is what kind of car I will forever drive. In 1995 I took a 1995 gt off the show room floor. It was black with a gold package. It was great, until my knee went out and I can no longer drive a stick. I was so sad. I gave it to my...Expand for more
kids. I now have a 2000 silver pony. It is not as cool, but it is a pony. I am in the market looking for a white/w black top 2004. If any one sees one available, please let me know. I raise toy poodles and
grandchildren. I raise 3 grandchildren from my late husband. They are 16, 11, and 8. My daughter Brandi, who just turned 25, how did that happen? She has 2 girls 5 and 1 1/2. If you are not a grandparent yet, I just can't tell you. If you are, you know that special feelings that only a grandchild can give. Especially mine. A blonde hair, glacier blue eyed 5 yr old beauty, Allison. When I come up the walk she runs out the door yelling "NANNIE". There is just no way of describing. Why did we have the kids first?
I live in Spring, Texas. I havn't done anything real spectacular. Of course if I never do anything but be that "nannie" that will be ok. I just spend each day praising God that I can still work and make it through the day. Believe me raising 3 more kids I do need Him!
