Hi,
How yuns doin? Don't worry, I've been in the Smoky Mountains 2 years and that's the only local jargon I've picked up. lol I graduated from Valley Veiw fall 1974. (Got kicked out for smoking pot. had to go back up and make up the credits.) I spent a few too many years partying then got serious and went to nursing school. I worked locally at San Antonio Hospital in Upland for 14 years, then was a traveling critical care nurse for 7 years. I took a permanent position here in the Smoky Mountains and bought a home last year.
My 2 oldest children live in Florida (both men now)

I started quilting in 2002 when my grandpa was hurt in an auto accident and I needed an activity to keep me busy while I stayed at his house and took care of him. I am one of those people that need fast results so I do mostly strip quilting. Nothing fancy but it let's me use what little artistic abilities I have without having to draw.
These days I just work, quilt, and play with my grandaughter Sophie who will be 1 June 7th. Of course you can throw in a little shopping, reading, swimming, and yard work, (yuk, stuff grows fast here in the Mountain) Hope to hear from you. I only bought into this thing for 3 months. They've been bugging me fo 8 years I think.
