Polly's Story
Living in Tyler, TX. Moved here from Pt. Pleasant ,NJ 1n 1978 with two small boys ..a transfer by the General Electric Co. Husband Gerry
Kuklewicz from Mass. met in NYC. I was Young Adult Program Director for Brooklyn YWCA, then taught Fourth Grade at Grace Church Episcopal School in NYC. One son attended U.TX Austin
on full scholarship as he placed 1st in State in UIL Physics Exam
then got his PhD from MIT, currently living and working in London
for Facebook,married to lovely British Lady. Other son met his wife
at Yale. She attended Harvard Med School and is a Pediatric Oncologist in Boston. They have our only grandchild- a beautiful 11 yr
old young lady. He is the CTO of PRX which is Public Radio Exchange.
We are enjoying retirement here in TX and love to travel to visit family
in Boston and London. Took a 5 week trip this past May/June: Boston
two weeks, London two w...Expand for more
eeks and with son & wife, a week in Portugal, Porto and Lisbon. We always take a trip somewhere together, last year Oslo(they had friends), Paris, Rome, Florence.
It was fun to see once again places I had visited as part of the Dickinson College European College Summer Trip, 11 countries in 1962. our son, the Physicist, did his Post Doc in St. Andrew's Scotland
at St. Andrews University.(which led to his British wife)..
Having a sister living in Concord, MA meant we spent each Thanksgiving in MA. with family from everywhere. Now the cousins
visit; it has been lovely. We attend St. Francis Episcopal Church here
in Tyler, more than attend....enjoy being among the more active members. Friends are from everywhere as Texans move about.
We also have quite a few "Yankees" as ourselves. And GE folks
Gerry worked with in various locations. So, where are " Y"all"
living ?
