R. Nelson's Story

Life I was the reunion president of the Class of 1960 for the 40th year reunion on October 14, 2000. It was held at the River Palms Hotel in Laughlin, NV. Please contact me so we can add you to the directory and send information for the next reunion. 359 classmates have already been found. Lake Tahoe. This is the reunion you GOT TO BE AT. I'm going to check out hotels in the summer of 2007. As for my personal information, my fiance passed away suddenly on December 9, 2006 at the age of 48. Ulli was my very best friend and pal. Life is difficult at times, but we must get through our problems. I recently published a book called "I'll Die Before You're Born" which is a time travel, love story and historical book. I started growing a beard on the day that the "lock down" started. I decided to not shave nor get a haircut until the scare was over with. Here it is the end of November and no end in sight.
Why does this picture remind me of the movie, "Speed?"

The Beatles were in Australia before they came to America for the first time. They were in Melbourne from June 14th to the 18th in 1964. I was living only a half mile from them when they were staying at the Southern Cross
I think that this was taken in December 1941 when I was a month old.
My sister Shirley is a professional artist and lives near Salem, Oregon with her husband Cliff. I think we were living in El Segundo, California at the time of the photo. I would have been about three.
The photographer that took this picture of me was a wonderful funny black lady. She curled my hair with a curling iron. Only time I had curls. Maybe I'll do it again. Thanks goodness I still have lots of hair.

I was just a college student at the time. I was in the Professional Photographers of Southern California as I was working part-time as a darkroom technician at night. I submitted some of my photographs and won everything.
