Rachael's Story

After graduating, I went to junior college. I got married to my first husband and had a daughter. When we got divorced, I dropped out of school to work full time to support Jessica and myself. I met my second husband, James, in December 1999. That had to be the best Christmas present ever! (Well, second best compared to the birth of Christ. ha ha) Anyway, we got married and had two more kids, Madison and April. He talked me into going back to college. Now I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and am certified in Mathematics. I currently teach 8th grade Pre-Algebra, and LOVE IT!!! It's like going to work and playing everyday. senior yr at college, I broke my back and was bed-ridden for 9 months before the doctors and the insurance finally decided to do surgery. I had to learn to walk again. And I still haven't lost all the weight that I had put on. It was hard to go back to school after being gone. But, I am glad that I did it. My kids need to see how important an education is. The most current news is that we had a fourth daughter, Catherine, in 2007. Four girls keeps us busy and yes, we do want a fifth daughter. I've always wanted five girls and we are well on our way.
