Rachael's Story

Ok, I created this profile a long time ago, but I've only updated it here and there. I'm 39 years old now and have had 4 beautiful children with the youngest being 7 months old on the 12th of Oct. 2009! My other three are 17, 16, and 14 years, respectively! I've been married and divorced once and am currently engaged for the second time, but we're in no hurry to get married right now, considering the current state of the economy as it is! Yes, the littlest one is his and mine and the other 3 are from my previous relationships/marriage. I'm happy now and very content in my life, but still want more out of it and amazingly enough, so does he. In fact, we have a lot of the same values and morals as well as dreams in life! Plus, we want to give our daughter the very best life has to offer and make sure she has everything we didn't have growing up! I think we are on our way to doing that, too, because I have nearly completed my Associates Degree and am going on to start my Bachelors in the coming month or two and he is currently attending college online going for his Associates in Business Management and then his Bachelors as well! We want to have our own place if not a house, then a mobile home and some land to build a home on in the next 5 years. I always wanted to be a psychologist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a peculiar idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. I blow off steam or stress by sitting and relaxing at the computer and/watching TV or spending time with my children. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have a car, a degree, and a strong support system to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My hero or heroine is/was my grandmother, who passed away 15 years ago. She is and has been my inspiration for a very long time! I've lived with my mom's oldest sister in southern California when I was little and that's where I attended my most memorable grade school years (4th-6th)! I was born and raised mostly in Anchorage, Alaska. However, I have lived in a couple of other places as well, like Norfolk, VA. and Paynesville, MN. All were before I turned 18 and even then, I always ended up back here in Alaska. However, this time I haven't left this great state. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Shauna Walker, because we had a great friendship when we were in grade school together in California. The biggest surprise in my life has been with everything I've been through I've still come out the strongest person I know! I've learned a lot from my kid...Expand for more
s! I learned to grow up pretty fast and that education is the most important thing to your happiness! I would love to see my 9th grade math teacher(cannot recall his name at the moment, though) or my 6th grade teacher, Mrs. Maddox. They are the ones that understood what I was like and could explain things the way I understood. If I won $100 million, I'd give 20 million of it to my mom and kids, then spend the rest on bills, my husband-to-be and myself. My best friend would tell you I'm patient and understanding, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as dull and too quiet. I think I still dress like I did 10 or maybe even 20 years ago and sometimes I wish I dressed a lot better. I guess I just wear what I'm in the mood to wear at the time, unless its for an interview or special occasion. The weirdest job I've ever had was working as a sales associate at the local event arena where we sold personal pan pizzas and soda to customers and to other vendors in the building for hockey games and concerts. It was part time only and got very humid in there with all the body heat and excitement. I share my home with my fiance, two of my 4 kids, and our 4 pets, which I find very tiring and stressful sometimes. If I could do something over, it would be to NOT marry my first husband cause he was very abusive towards me, but I wouldn't have my boys, though, so, that would not be a good change in my life. In 10 years, I hope to be done with my bachelors degree and have a good paying job in psychology. I'm going to get there by continuing my academic career in the next 2 to 3 years.. Well, I met my oldest friend online and we have some of the same interests and values. That's what makes us 'click', I guess! The thing that would surprise everyone at my high school reunion would be that I have 4 kids and still look and feel as good as I do, though, I wish it was in better shape. My first job was at McD.s, where I got paid $7.00 to take orders for fast food. What I remember most about it is the customer service experience I learned to acquire.. I don't think I'll ever forget the time that I went over to a classmates' house that had a garage with a loft in it and they had like a playhouse up there where their parents couldn't get to us. They were a pair of black twins and we would play dress up and do each others hair in tight braids. That would hurt my head for days!Another memory that I'll likely not forget is when my 6th grade class got to go to Disney land for graduation! That was fun!!!
