Rachel's Story
Life
I live in 29 Palms, the middle of nowhere desert in Southern California now (where there is no snow!). I am a fifth grade teacher in Barstow. (another nowhere desert town). I have been married for 18 years and have a 17 year old son. Life has been decent.
School
After high school, I had the misconceived notion that I wanted to be a veterinarian.That didn't last long. I fell in love, moved to California, got married, and had a child.I went back to school earning my A.A, B.A., and Cal...Expand for more
ifornia Teaching Credential. I have recently finished earning my Master's Degree in Special Education. Now.. time for a break from school... yeaaaah.
College
I would not change a thing that I experienced at Cal State. I discovered who I was again and found many friends to support me in life. It was awesome. (It still is.)
Workplace
I am a fifth grade teacher in Barstow, CA. I have been there for four years now and enjoy my work. At some point I plan to teach at the junior college level.
