Rachel's Story
Yesterday, I watched my daughter Alyssa graduate from high school, and I guess that's what spurred me to come here and look at what all those kids I graduated with are doing. I find it funny that I originally couldn't think of what to say, ie: where do I start, 20 years is such a long time, so much has happened, and yet the time has really flown by, etc. So I went to the Q&A section and answered those questions, but on many of them, I didn't really find the choice I was looking for, so it's mostly a "close enough" answer. I am married to my best friend, Mark. We met at Miami in painting class. He is a little older, went to Mt Healthy, and he is a Graphic Designer and owns 2 companies (Peterson Design Group and Fasttrack Motorsports promotions) I help with the vinyl work sometimes,...Expand for more
but I mostly work as an RN. I am a home health nurse, which means I get to drive all over the greater Atlanta, GA area and take care of people in their own homes. I like it most of the time (except for the charting!) and I get to do a lot of teaching to patients and their family members, which I really like. I take pottery classes and I volunteer when I can (I am going to help at Camp Kudzu in June, which is a camp for kids with Diabetes). I have 2 kids, my daughter, Allie who is 18 and going to college this fall, I think (it changes like every 5 minutes or so....) and my son, Mason, who is 12, and may not make it to see 13 this summer if he doesn't quit driving me and his Dad crazy. Although to be fair, he is extremely hormonally challenged and not really at his best right now...
