Rachel's Story
Life
I was born and raised in Hopkins, SC. There were a total of nine children in my family. We didn't have many material possessions but we were rich in happiness. Upon graduating from Hopkins High in 1959 I attended Benedict College for two years. In 1962 I relocated to New Jersey where my education was continued at William Paterson College as a part time student. I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right.

n the Paterson NJ School District. I taught fourth grade for five years, was a mathematics resource teacher for nineteen years, a vice principal for five years, and a principal of an elementary school for eight years. I retired in 2002.
I am the proud mother of one Daughter, one Stepson, two Grandsons two Great Grandsons and one Great Granddaughter.
My favorite way to relax is to read a good book, go bowling, go shopping, and vacationing.
My best friend would tell you I'm out going, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as shy.
