Rachelle's Story

Life Since High School, I have gone to college, and completed a Masters Degree in teaching. I got married, bought a house, had two boys (Now 27 and 28) I live in a simple home, (which I am always trying to make improvements on). I have a great man in my life and do a lot of traveling when I'm not teaching during the school year. (I teach students with vision impairments) I love being around my family and friends, love to go out dancing and I love to travel. I've been to Yellowstone N.P. twice, and Niagara Falls. I've been to Disney World twice with my kids and doing a third time this summer, Washington, D.C., and Hawaii! I've been to many other exciting things such as the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame , Football Hall of Fame, numerous car museums (Studebaker, Duesenburg/Cord, etc), go to Indy 500 every year, and so many more places. I love variety in trips - I'm also planning on heading out to Gettesburg - My kids are also heavy into nature, cars, and history! I finally made it out to the Grand Canyon in October 2007! I love being around nature (I own my own 20ft trailor with all the comforts of home - tv, microwave, stove, bath - I love camping, but have realized after a few years of tenting, that an RV is the place for me!- One time in a tent, my youngest - 3 at the time, was sleeping in the tent. A baby bunny got in because I forgot to zip it all the way - I heard that thing hopping around and just screamed! We all laughed when the poor frieghtened thing got loose and ran off! - hey, who knows, it could have been a bear.) My favorite Wisconsin places are Governor Dodge and Penn. State Park! Awesome sunsets!!! I finally made it out to the east coast! If you'...Expand for more
ve been to a cool place, let me know about it - I'm always looking for new adventures! School Who'd ever thought that after all the years in school I'd want to stay there until I retire??? I went to Fairview Elementary, Bell Middle School and Hamilton High School. Out of all my schooling, I enjoyed High School the most! I wasn't anyone popular, but I enjoyed being with my friends and joining some school activities. Took a turn in the girls basketball (JV) team, tried it - didn't make too much of it, but it was fun. Enjoyed going to Skate U with friends (even though I was probably the worst skater - but hey, give me credit , I at least tried!) Towards the later years had fun sneaking into bars such as Innegans' and Cream City, and Red Corvette. It's funny how two of those bars have been torn down in the last 10 years! Went on the Sr. trip cruise - had a great time! Those were all great memories! College I attended UW-Whitewater and graduated in 1989 with a BS is education. I also attended Alverno College and received a Masters in Director of Instruction and most recently got a spec. ed. license from Cardinal Stritch Univ. I've attended other colleges just for a few credits here and there for my teaching, but none of them are as memerable as UW-W! Workplace I've had a large variety of jobs from McDonalds, department stores, MGIC, day care centers, and the substitute teaching (I believe only the very crazy, or desperate substitute teach). My work paid off, and I landed a great 5th grade teaching job in Milwaukee. I love my job and the kids I teach. There is always something new I learn, and it is always different! I can't imagine doing anything else!
