School
School: Well! That was school! Some good. Mostly awkward. Weird. I had friends in every social group, but I never attached myself to any of them. I hated cliques; still do! I regret not being more forward and outgoing. I'm definitely different now! Now I could care less about being embarrassed! I'm front and center now!
I am currently working towards my BA in Human Services. Set to graduate in 2009, then onto more school for my Master's!

I signed up for the Army as a diesel mechanic in November 1993 while a senior in High School. I was in the delayed entry program until I went to basic on August 4, 1994 at Ft. Jackson, SC (just outside of Columbia, SC). I also had Advanced Individual Training (AIT) there. Then in February 1995, I was stationed in the 101st Division at Ft. Campbell, KY (about 45 miles northwest from Nashville, TN) in B Co 801st MSB. On February 16th, I met Jake. We dated for 14 months and then eloped down at the Clarksville City Hall where a commissioner married us on April 22, 1996. In June of 1997, I gave birth to our first son, Gavin, at the army hospital on post. Jake got out the same month after ETS'ng after his second enlistment. I extended for one month to get my maternity benefits. I officially ETS'd in September 1997, but took terminal leave in August and we moved back to SLC, UT with our new 6 week old baby boy. My term with the IRR (Inactive Ready Reserve) ended in August 2001. I now have completely been cut free! I enjoyed my time in the army; it helped me out of my shell. I learned a lot about life, and I had a lot of fun on the weekends!
