Life
Sergeant First Class (SFC) Rae Anthony McFarlane was born in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. Grew up in White Shop, Spaldings Clarendon. He attended the Doris Easy basic School, Spaldings Primary and Knox College before returning to Kingston where he lived at UP Park Camp. He attended 2 more high schools in kingston Grantham College and Walgrove Collge before he migrated to the United States in 1985 and enlisted in the U. S. Army Reserve as a Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic (63B) in 1986. After graduating with honors from Forest Hills High School in Queens, New York in 1987, he joined the active duty army in 1988. He later re-classed as an Avionics Systems Repairer (35R) in 1993 and has since held every position in his Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) that includes Mechanic, Avionics Repairman, Senior Electronics Repairman, Squad Leader, Battalion Command Financial Specialist, Platoon Sergeant, Electronics Maintenance Supervisor, Equal Opportunity Representative, Recruiter, Station Commander, Instructor/Writer and the Electronics Training Division, Advance Branch NCOIC.
