Ralph's Story
Life
Born Chicago, Illinois. Lived in Morgan Park neighborhood and attended Clissold school until 1951. At age 10 (exactly) moved to Dearborn Michigan. Attended Lindberg elementary, Clara Bryant JHS and Dearborn High. 1959-63 University of Michigan in Physics. 1963-1969 University of Illinois in physics, graduating with a PhD. Married Mary Ellen Bordenca in 1967, a graduate student in French at UofI. 1969-1972 lived and worked in Hamburg Germany at DESY, a particle physics research facility. Son #1 b. in Germany 1971.

ations engineering of various kinds. Wife went to Rutgers law school and became lawyer. She worked as a lawyer 1982-2002. 1998-2001 I worked at Lucent Technologies. 2001-2002 I worked for a small telecommunications company. 2002-2003 I worked as a contract consultant for the US Army at Fort Monmouth in NJ. 2003-2007 I was a professor of physics at Miles College in Birmingham AL, my wife's hometown. 2008-2009 taught physics at Birmingham Southern College. Currently live in Hoover AL with summer home in Central Lake MI. Sons live in Rochester Hills MI (two sons) and LA CA (two sons) Hobbies over the years, skiing, running, racewalking, reading, watching movies, science, linguistics, and genealogy.
