Life Happens
Hello, all La Marque High School and Luther Burbank High School grads. It's now 2008 and time for an update. Life continues to be fantastic! I am still working for the State of California, and will probably work another six or seven years before retiring. Funny... I actually like my job. Well, it's the people really, not the work itself. Maureen and I have been married for 34 years now. My two kids keep having kids of their own, and the Lord has blessed me with seven grandchildren in all, five girls and two boys. They are all under eight years old and all live less than 45 minutes away. I love spending time with them. They are without exception smart, funny, beautiful, and full of personality.

much of my free time lately doing volunteer work, playing guitar in the praise band at church and wishing I had time to play more golf and poker. This fall, I am returning to college to begin a program to get a music degree in audio production, which has been a passion of mine since I was about ten years old. After retirement, I hope to get a part-time job in a recording studio, or maybe even open a little recording studio of my own.
I still keep in contact with a few LMHS classmates, but not much on the LBHS side. Old Army buddies occasionally pop in and out, and I think about them often. I can't believe how fast the years fly by. It's now thirty-seven years since the Class of '71 walked the aisle! I hope there will be some 40-year reunions on the horizon.
