Ralph's Story
Life;
Y.O.B. 1950, Living and loving the west coast, still riding and now a grandfather.
Met Liz in 81 in Scarborough, (lived common law), Liz had son Ronny 2, in 83 Ruby was born and in 84 we quit drinking. Life went straight uphill from there. Bought house in Orono, sold and moved to Lakefield. Owned a century home, commuted 100 miles one way to work. In 92 split with Liz, 93 plant closed. Took MC trip out west, spent 3 months traveling and living in a tent. Back to Ontario, fall of same year moved to B.C. In 94 drove back and trucked back west with Ruby. She moved here to stay in 95 and I became a single parent of a 12 year old girl. Life was good, lived in same house for 7 years. ingle to long, although I've sure had a great many long trips on my machine.
Sept. 08, rode back to Ontario. Plan was, visit family and friends, head south, stateside to New Orleans, then west to San Diego and home north up the coast. 5 weeks. 6 days into trip got wiped-out by a car in Sault Ste. Marie. My motorcycle written off and I received a massive rotator cuff tear to right shoulder. 7 months later (April 09) still waiting for surgery. I have a new Harley now and looking forward to the coming season.
