Steve's Story

Life Born: 14 November 1948, Chicago, Illinois, Mount Sini Hospital. Then the trouble started. Divorced parents 1956, that mixed my head up a bit. Born and raised in Chicagoland, so far I've lived in New York City, Los Angeles, Dallas, Ft. Worth, & Phoenix before leaving the country to live the life of an expatriate. Today, I live and work in Dublin, Ireland, I brought my 1991 Harley 1200 Sportster with me and so far I ridden it in the UK, Ireland, and France. And I'm having a ball. bad job of it. How I ever stayed alive or out of the stockade (LBJ) or Levenworth is beyond me, but I came close, more than once! And how in the hell did I ever get an honorable discharge? Then there is the 40% VA disability of over $600.00 a month, thank you Agent Orange, Diabetes and the American taxpayers, but your dollars don't buy many Euros, bummer. If you've Diabetes and you're NOT receiving a VA disability, you're a no good lazy bum! Agent Orange & Diabetes are a lock for a tax free VA disability! Get with the VFW or any other good Veteran organization's VA Claims Consultant and start your claim! The Claims Consultant can usually be found at your local VA. For g*d sake, I did it from Ireland! It's not just the money, it's the money! If and when my wonderful wife might become a widow, she'll receive a widow's pension of over $1,000.00 a month! I love her very much and now I know she'll be taken care of. Questions, Questions, I'm just a lucky guy, I guess. Artilleryperson, B Btry, 4/42 Arty, 4th Inf Div, on a 105mm howitzer built by Maytag, the dependability people during WWII. Toured most of the Central Highlands. The only good thing I can say about it is, I don't think we killed any of our own in "Friendly Fire!" I know we killed a bunch of the other guys. Ah, "SouthEast Asia War Games," 2nd place, forever!
