Randi's Story
Life
After BHS, departing Ridgecrest could not have come sooner. I headed to LA and the San Fernando Valley. A quick stint at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and life experiences - the early 80's in "The Valley". After some time there, not finishing Fashion Institute, dear Father of mine pressed for some more time for school. Off to Cal State Bakersfield and into something I reallly didn't want or know how to find what I wanted.... except John. I met him before departing for CSUB while living in the valley. Once again, school didn't work out for me.
Much to my dismay, John got a job at China Lake and once again, I was b...Expand for more
ack in Ridgecrest, albeit married to John, but back none the less. I went with a promise of three years there. Ten years later I convinced John that my time in R/C needed to come to in an end. Off to Seattle we were. We left with no job and just an apartment.
School
Ah, BHS... I have many fond memories from and about BHS. I spent most of my time in Lecture Center. Born and bred Drama Geek. Alan Kubik taught us all a lot, but more than that, he lets us explore and find our passions. He never forced his beliefs and his rules were fluid. Countless people from Rus Stedman to Jon Bell. Spanning many years and many experiences. Love them all.
