Randy's Story
Life
Left Mt. SAC in 1966 and was promptly drafted. Spent 10 years in the Army where I learned electronics and worked on the Nike Herculese and Chaparral missile systems. I was stationed in El Paso, TX several times and married Carol there in 1968. While stationed in Germany, we had twin girls (Missy and Marcy) in '72. I left the Army and went to work for Litton Data Systems in Van Nuys as an instructor and technical writer in '76. They made the AN/TSQ-73, a military command and control system. Stayed there until '89 and lived in Simi Valley where Kathryn ('78) and Sarah ('...Expand for more

In '89 we moved to Decatur, AL and I began working in Huntsville, the home of the space program. I have had various jobs here since then, most of them in the defense field. I am now a computer analyst working for the Army on the computer-based technical manuals for the Black Hawk helicopter. Marcy has two boys, 9 and 13 and Missy has a girl, 2 and a boy,1, so I am a grandpa. I know it may surprise some who knew me in highschool, but I did it! I succeeded and I'm happy!!
