Randy's Story

In September 2006 I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to move back to Ft. Worth after about 35 years in California.
From October 2006 through September 2007, I worked as Interim Executive Director for Creative Arts Theatre & School (CATS) in Arlington Texas. Then I dusted off the old NTSU degree in Secondary Education and began working as a tutor for the FWISD.
In August 2010 I commenced working as a classroom teacher (special education) at Eastern Hills High School.
It is very challenging, but I am really having a blast. In a way, it is like being back in high school again. Attendance,
bells, pledge of allegience, crowded halls with happy students, assemblies, cafeteria, library, teacher's lounge,
shacks, and yearbo...Expand for more

UPDATE: June 2014-- Have now finished 7 years teaching with the Ft Worth ISD. The past 3 years have been at the elementary level, so students are ages 4 to 11 or 12. I really enjoy this work.
Prior to this, I worked as a talent agent in Hollywood California since 1977. Before that I worked in the theatre, ending up as a production stage manager at a theatre in San Diego followed by a few years in feature film production. I started out in show business in the summer of 1968 at Casa Manana Musicals in Fort Worth.
