Randy's Story

During High School, we moved to Omaha Nebraska for a few years. Our going away party consisted of listening to the music of this new band called "Van Halen":. It blew our minds! After a few years, we then returned to Oroville California. Right before graduation, my parents moved once again to Sacramento. I attended a private school for two months, then graduated mid-term. I met this really cute, sweet girl named Penney at school. We have been happily married for over 43 years. We have two kids, Charles & Brandy, and a granddaughter Savannah. Both kids are happily married. I own a home in Citrus Heights, California, and am just enjoying life. I have to say that I truly am blessed. I have a beautiful wife who I'm madly in love with. I was able to retire at 62! My home is peaceful, my life is happy and I sleep well at night when I look back at who I've been allowed t...Expand for more
o become from God's loving-kindness despite all that we've been through! Due to hard work, I am in good health and everyone calls me "big guy". Once I even rode my road bicycle from Sacramento up to Cherokee, just north of Table Mountain in Oroville. (106 miles)! Crazy!!! Now that the kids are out of the house my wife and I spend long hours together just talking. I think I have a rich life and am truly thankful for it! To all who read this I hope I was kind to you in school and if I wasn't, I apologize. I've gotten better with age, I promise! It's amazing the stupid things you do in school and when you get older you look back and you say, "what was I thinking?" or "I can't believe I lived through that stunt"! Some of my fondest childhood memories come from Concow School! Thank you to all that have given me a reason to look back on my childhood with great memories.
