Randy's Story
For those who knew me you would be shocked to know, I taught Automotive Technology for 22 years at a Technology Center. In 2009, I went back to school and got my Master's in Educational Administration and changed jobs to Director of Fulltime Programs.
I guess since I hated school so bad my penance is to be a teacher/administrator for the rest of my life. For 23 years, I worked part-time in law enforcement and retired in 2011. I guess I got enough tickets in high school to earned the right to drive a police car! :-)
I have been married for over 42 years (1983) to a girl from Western Heights, Gina, and she is GREAT and we do everything together. I have one son (Zac 40 years-old this year) who was a Marine and did 2 tours in Iraq, left the Marine Corp...Expand for more
in 2007. We now have 2 grandchildren, Kee who is 21 and Trey who is four. We live out in a rural area on 20 acres for the past 25+ years..
I won a battle with cancer and have been cancer-free for 25+ years, however, the Chemo did damage some of my long-term memory, so it's interesting to browse sites like this one to see if I can remember. I love building or remodeling, I think it might become an obsession. I love all types of music (except opera) I have a very eclectic taste in music. Just enjoying life and will enjoy it a lot more when I retire which I could have done in 2014, but I keep chugging along helping kids.
Yeah, I told ya you would be shocked, I am shocked at how wonderful my life has been! I wouldn't change anything. (Updated June 2025)
