Life Finally someone told the story of my submarine USS LAPON SSN 661 and the missions she took while I served on her. All recorded in " Blind Man's Bluff " also aired recently on the history channel. She received Two Meritorious Unit citations and a Presidential Unit Citation for missions during the Cold War. I spent the better part of my life after that pursuing the highs of those missions and the dangers they provided. Never got even close. I guess now its time to finally put that to rest :-). I salute the men of Thresher, Scorpion, and the Kursk and others who were unable to return from the deep and are on eternal patrol. They are all my brothers now and always.
